Chris Bartlett is one of the hardest working and most entertaining musicians in Middle Georgia. This week’s episode features and interview with Chris plus three of his songs. Chris has recently been working with a new band out of Atlanta called Soul Stash.

Soul Stash has just returned from playing at the Sundance Film Festival and opening for Velvet Revolver.

Pickin’ On the Porch is an every Sunday event that Train Song Productions puts on at the Juliette Expresso in Juliette, Georgia. The music generally gets started at about 1:00 PM and goes until the picker quits pickin’. The music is great, the atmosphere is laid back, and the people are the best around.
On the show you will hear music from the January 6, 2008, Pickin’ On the Porch featuring Chris Bartlett. Chris is an incredibly talented singer/songwriter. This week’s show features one of Middle Georgia’s hottest bands, Scott Baston & The News Architects. Scott, formerly of Moonshine Still, is the creative force behind the band and an incredibly talented songsmith. Along with Scott are equally talented musicians Bill Jarrett (also formerly of Moonshine Still), Frank Registrato and Pete Ornstein who also play with Atlanta-based band Bonobos Convergence, and Jeremy Johnson. Frequently joining the News Architects are fiddle player David Blackmon of Blueground Undergrass fame and Harris Gardner from Nashville.
